ProRep version 5
What's new in version 5:
Since 1985 ProRep has been an instrumental tool for many companies by providing valuable information about their labor forces and thereby enabling management to make better decisions.
ProRep version 5 is the latest iteration of one of the most popular labor management and reporting systems in use today. While a vast majority of the improvements and changes are under the hood, some of the more visible changes are listed below, along with changes from recent years.
Dashboards!
- Quickly see productivity information in a variety of formats. The layout is easily modified using standard HTML. The screen shots to the right are examples of how the dashboard can be used.
XYZ Module Improvements
- Improved handling of multi-pallet (concurrent) moves.
- Improved vertical travel calculations moving between locations on the same side of an aisle.
Multiple Deletes
- Easily make several changes to the list of associates all at one time. This can be most helpful after busy seasons when removing seasonal workers from the list of associates.
Custom Reports Improvements
- Added the ability to append custom report queues to daily production reports.
- Added the option to include Year-to-Date comparison columns on custom reports.
Mass Updating
- Added mass update of activities for associates within a work center for a day.
Miscellaneous Enhancements
- Enhancements to EDIM scripting
- Added more command line parameters for additional automation options
- Added the ability to handle weeks that don’t start on Sunday

Additions/Changes made in 2015
Hyperlinks
- Associates in production summary reports are hyperlinked and can take the viewer to the associate’s detail when selected.
List Box Drag-and-Drop
- Added the ability to drag-and-drop lines on an activity detail report when the list box is displayed.
Add Years
- Added Maintenance > Add Years dialog box. This allows the user to add a year to selected DataDiaries, all on one screen.
More Error Checking
- Added checks when showing systems in a folder to display a message if files are found, but can’t open, or if no files were found at all. This should help users understand that they probably don’t have the required permissions/rights to access certain necessary files.
Document Identifiers
- Increased the maximum size of document identifiers
- Added the ability to track work by document identifier
XYZ Map Enhancements
- Added a feature on XYZ Maps to allow the user to type in the location codes, in addition to pull down lists.
- Expanded maximum number of location codes.
Columns and Lines Drag-and-Drop
- Added the ability to drag-and-drop both columns and lines (in activity detail reports) in the WYSIWYG picture box.
Production Sheet Entry Cut-and-Paste
- Added the ability to highlight and cut multiple lines on the production sheet entry screen and paste them elsewhere.
More Time Series Report Options
- Added the ability to un-select “Print Lines with No Data” on time series reports.
More Export Options
- Enhanced exporting of DataDiary data
FTP
- Added the ability to obtain files from FTP sites when uploading EDIM data.

- Improved Allocations – works like Allocate Datafields and Allocate Accounts

Additions/Changes made in 2014
Activity Descriptions in Production Sheet Entry
- Added the activity description to the production sheet grid on the production sheet entry screen.
Easier Table Navigation
- Added up and down arrow buttons when viewing the records of the tables. This allows users to easily check settings among records.
Increased Speed
- Faster generation of activity detail reports
- Increased printing speed in Windows 8
Menu Item Changes
- Changed production sheet menu from “Print Daily Reports” to “Generate Daily Production Reports”
- Changed File menu item from “Load System …” to “Load System/Maintain User IDs …”
Enhancements to Custom Reports
- Incentive and PPA module results saved to associate DataDiary for use in custom reports.
Miscellaneous Enhancements
- Additional command line parameters which increase automation options
- Enhancements to EDIM scripting
- Minor semantic changes of menu option text to be more intuitive

Additions/Changes made in 2013
Added More Functionality to XYZ Table Viewer
- Added the ability to export on the Transaction/XYZ table viewer dialog. Users can also can set the number of fixed columns.
Additional Editing Options on Activity Detail Report
- Users can now select and cut or copy multiple lines on an activity detail report and then Paste Insert or Paste Append elsewhere.
Security Enhancements
- Enhanced Passwords: Administrators can now set minimum length; require both letters and numbers, and/or special characters. Passwords can also be configured to expire after a certain number of days, and after a number of bad attempts.
Additional Production Sheet Entry Options
- Added the ability to can change the work center of a group of lines on production sheet entry.
Defaults for Production Sheet Entry
- Added the ability to manually set the work center on the production sheet entry to (Default). This is the same as setting it to “*” in EDIM. They now show as green when they are set to default.
More Editing Options for Production Sheets
- Added the ability to delete multiple production sheet lines at one time.
More Export Options
- Added the ability to select which tables are selected when exporting validation tables. The default setting is “all.”
More Output Options for Quick/Short Reports
- Users now have the ability to change the print sequence on One-Liner reports and Quick Reports. Previously, this step was skipped during printing.
Enhancements to Lists
- Added the primary grouping to the “Maintain Production Sheet” list and the list of lines.
Mouse Wheel Support
- Added Mouse Wheel support on Transaction Lists.
